While Movado has moved downmarket in the last several decades, during Movado's glorious period from 1912 through the 1950's, when such innovations as the polyplan movement, Calendomatic, and exceptional in-house chronographs pushed the envelope of horological technology, and original designs such as the Museum watch took their place in history, their wristwatches enjoyed a level of prestige reserved only for works of the very fine watchmakers.
We were fortunate to obtain it in all-original condition, down to the dial, hands, and even winding crown.
It was done in a very traditional/popular Tiffany style with large band attachments that secure a snake mesh bracelet. We recently sold a second very similar example of this model that was accompanied by an independent appraisal from a GIA certified appraiser that listed its retail replacement value for insurance purposes at $8,000. Its 14k rose gold case is in very good condition with light indentions in the back and spots of wear to the left side. It presents nicely on the wrist. Its silver Tiffany & Co. dial is original and untouched. It could be expertly restored if you prefer the look of a restored watch...please inquire. Also, its very fine Movado movement is clean and keeping time.
One of our watchmakers has disassembled it down to its last screw and cleaned and oiled it making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate attesting to its performance.
